Random question: has any of you applied to make a research in the humanitarian fields like me? I have the feeling that almost everyone applying for this scholarship is specializing in science/engineering/medicine. I wonder if MEXT considers humanitarian programs as not trustworthy.
actually I am not sure if you should put Serbia and Montenegro together on the list as our two countries have been separated since 2006. For some time there was no Japanese embassy in Montenegro so Serbian embassy was in charge for Montenegrin candidates, too. But I think they have their own embassy in Montenegro now and separated procedure for Mext scholarship. Someone from Montenegro correct me if I am wrong.

This is my first post into this forum. I m very glad to join now even if I was reading through all your posts since july in order to get best understanding of what goes here.
I have been chosen as alternate by our embassy and hope also to get this scholarship. I hope the same to the regular ones from my country and to the rest of the candidates around the world.
Congratulation to all of you getting now good result from mext, I wish to those in waiting good luck and to the rejected good luck for the coming 2011 screening.

sorry vortexmaster, I was chosen as aregular and then due to reducing the fund, I was transformed to alternateI have been chosen as alternate by our embassy and until now I have no information about mext screening!
