Hello all,

My name is Tojo. I've been living in Japan for three and a half years now.
I hail from beautiful, sunny, southern California. I have been an active voice in many forums for about two years now. My position is right wing leaning.
I have establish myself in Japan as a sort of neo-con conservative right wing bigot with strong views toward liberal thinking people.

I intend to be a resource of information regarding life in Japan. I specialize in travel and onsens ! I have been to over 1,500 onsens in three years so I consider myself an expert.

How on earth did you manage to visit 1500 onsen in 3 years? That works out to be just over 4 a day! Hats off to you for your stamina

I repsect your blunt, casual style, as is expected of a right wing double strength conservative, as you seem without affectation, and that is admirable. What is it with the Tojo btw ... ah, conservative, but only this and nothing more ?
You must miss the sunny beaches of the pacific coast and your colleagues.

Tojo was a man of his word which is something most Japanese men don't have in the sense of allegiance to His Majesty and Japan !

Tojo instigated and eventual started the Pacific War (WW2) out of both fear and ignorance. Like his predecessor Hitler, they both shared a common bond in the fact that they never listened to other experts.

I admire Tojo for accepting full responsibility for his role in WW2. He never passed the BUCK, so to speak. Sure, he was a heartless murderer but he was also a real person like Hitler. He was a husband and a father as well as proud Japanese. He shuned western ideals in order to protect the natural perfect order of Japan. That Harmony that was passed down through a hundred and twenty five generations to the Heisei era.

Tojo was a decisive general who made decisive moves when it matter the most for the prosperity of Japan albeit he failed.

Remember, it was Tojo's testimony that spared the emperial household from extinction not BIG MAC

A bit late, but Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll have much you'd like to share with us and learn from us all. I've been living here for coming up on 21 years now, and have always loved the nature that, especially, these foothills to the Japan Alps give us. The hot springs in this area are great, and there are a few of those off-the-beaten-track spots that are just out of this world.

Although I disagree with your political ideology, I heartily agree with your taste in photography and onsens, so welcome to the forum!

I am writing an essay do in just a few weeks over "Patriotism".. I saw that you had offered your assistance to another student and was hoping you wouldn't mind extending it to me?? This course this paper is do in has opened my eyes to much in the world and this way of death has grabbed my attention... I would like to know what ever you have to offer that could bring a better understanding to this technique, and ofcourse help me to even wow my teacher in return for a wow grade!! :) I also see that you are an educator, I intend to be!! I'm a blank canvas, eager to hear what you know!! thank you,

hi Sara, you might not have noticed, but McTojo was banned from this site long ago, as he was finally recognized as an overzealous troll.

Others on this site would be happy to help you, just go to the sub-forum appropriate to your topic, and create a new thread asking for help. Please try to be as specific as possible to make it easier to help you. By "this way of death" do you mean your paper is on seppuku /hara kiri/ritual disembowelment?

Also, you may want to be a little more careful with just how much of a 'blank canvas' you are. There are a lot of kooks here on the net, as McTojo turned out to be, and they can make all sorts of claims and statements that shouldn't be taken at face value. After my short stint teaching English in Japan, I would hardly call myself an educator, but here on the net, I'm could claim to be a professor emeritus.

thank you for the information and the warning.. i dont usually get on many websites but when i saw that he was talking about the exact topic i needed help with i got a little too excited!! I am writing a paper over "Patriotism" the author in Yukio Mishima... I will discuss how the story was actually a foreshadowing of Mishima's own suicide..
