I'm getting a divorce soon and am looking to get a tattoo of a kanji character to reflect my new found state of mind. I would like some help in choosing a correct and asthetically pleasing character.

I would welcome any suggestions.

I'm thinking of something like freedom, strength, change etc...

that sounds kind of strange IMHO :?

解放 = kaihou = liberation (I'm not too good at japanese yet, so if I wrote it wrong, someone please correct me )

At first I was thinking 憂, but then I saw what you wanted.

freedom - 自由
strength - 力
change - 変更

There may be more appropriate choices, though. You'll probably want to wait for others to chime in.

Maybe it doesn't matter as long as they are large enough to cover up ex-hubby's name.
