Lonely and disgruntled

i don't get it guys. it seems i post and nobody responds to mine. everybody just quotes others, not acknowledging anything i had said.
jeeze, this is confusing, i am such a whiner. but i don't care.

i usually post, put i end up being the last one with no response to my last one. i am not really expecting anything, but i figure that if i poste then i could connect with my fellow jref posters.
guess i don't tickle anybodys fancy.....

You just need to find a thread with people who are intrested in the same thing as you and you will soon make friends

Sometimes it takes a while for people to get used to you when i joined i wasn't answered imediotly either but once people saw me around a lot they started to talk to me and i made friends ^_^

Believe it or not, I really like reading your posts, retrodisease, and think you have a lot of interesting things to say, it's just not anything I know anything about so I can't offer any genuine, practical help...☝
What you should do, though, is to find an area of the forum you want to make an impression in, respond to other people that you want to get to know better, add a friendly/interesting comment of your own, always using their name of course and I'm sure you'll start feeling gradually more comfortable very, very quickly. As miki mentioned, 28 posts spread around the various subfora really isn't much at all to make yourself stand out.

Good luck ! Unfortunately a lot of members are actually transients who prefer not to make a long-lasting commitment these days and the serious discussions are nowhere nearly as substantial as they used to be which makes the sense of community a little weaker for everyone, but have faith it will happen in time.
