It's not a theory when it's proven. There is an undeniable truth.

Hong Kong is the most powerful economy in Asia because it uses full on traditional Chinese characters , followed by Japan because it uses a moderately modified Chinese characters. Then followed by China, because it uses simplified Chinese characters, then South Korea, because it some Chinese characters, lastly North Korea, because it uses no Chinese characters.

Taiwan uses traditional characters, but they're being overshadowed by the Mainland.

Maybe I'm biased because having Hanja would make Korean easier for me to read.
