Konichiwa everybody!
Watashi wa Jimmy desu :-) Soshite, juunana sai desu. Watashi wa nihongo benkyou sumasu. Watashi wa Naruto soshite Bleach mimasu :-)
Well that was my small attempt in introducing myself in Japanese :-) It probably is full of mistakes and has an awful lot of "Watashi" in it (is there an other way to not use so much of "Watashi wa.....") so please correct me! :sorry: So... i am studying Japanese by myself (with help of the game "My Japanese Coach" which is a really helpful in my opinion) and have achieved quite a lot in a short amount of time (i think). I can write and read Hiragana and practising Katakana, i understand some basic grammar and i can count in Japanese also!:D Unfortunately my vocab is a mess, but i am working on it 😌 ! I'm trying to find someone to talk with in Japanese to practise more, so if someone would like that ask my MSN :-)
Thats a lot of text lol 😌 I am going to study Game Development next school year and i am planning to go to Japan for internship.
Dewa mata atode! :-)

> Watashi wa Jimmy desu. Soshite, juunana sai desu. Watashi wa nihongo benkyou sumasu. Watashi wa Naruto soshite Bleach mimasu

sumasu →"simasu(します)" or "siteimasu.(しています)" is better.

nihongo benkyou →to add [wo (を)] between "nihongo" and "benkyou" is better.

Naruto soshite Bleach →"to(と)" is better than "soshite" if you say 2 nouns.

ex. cats and dogs → neko to inu

you really studying by yourself? I think it's great.

Yes..! I am studying by mysellf.. Thnx for the corrections, ill take a close look on it.

Welcome to the forums Jimi! Most of the time you can leave off the "watashi wa", so you dont have to put it for every sentence :)

E.g.
Watashi wa Jimmy desu. Soshite, juunana sai desu. Nihongo o benkyou shimasu. Naruto to Bleach mimasu.

Hope that helps! :)

I guess it is fun to reintroduce mysellf a bit in the same thread as 3 years ago.

I am currently in my last year Game Design and decided that i would do Japanese major next to it. I'm in my first month now using Minna no Nihongo for the language classes. We have quite a high pace, doing 2 lessons a week including the kanji. It is fun, but quite intense to keep up with. I guess hanging around in the forums would be helpfull to my learning process.

Hi and welcome! ^-^

I'm a bit confused, because in your introduction you say you're 17, but in your profile it says you are 20.
Which one is right?

Both. Kinda, introduction was made three years ago 😌

Hey, Jimi, welcome back! 🙂

How much progress were you able to make with your Japanese studies in the last three years?

Not much to be honest, but i didnt study for those three years in total.

Well, it is never too late to get started. Nice to have you back with us.
