Konﾂ’nichiwa to everyone

I am a researcher of many things including other cultures and languages. I am hoping that meeting people who share an interest in Japan might make it easier to learn Japanese. Right now I am trying to create my Pokemon projects to be less Anglo-centric. Since the games started in Japan, I decided to begin with Japanese.
I figured joining these forums would be a good place to ask my questions about the language and culture. I have other interests about Japan other than Pokemon too. Food for instance. Also kaijū and old science fiction heroes from the 60s.
