Kim Jong-il is dead. How is Japan reacting to this news? How do you all feel about this? I for one am scared. There is no longer comfort in the fact that the leader of North Korea is a crazy man. There might be a power struggle. There might be war(No, please, no, no, no, too frightening to consider). Over the years, the government his father created kidnapped Japanese nationals, threatened to turn Seoul into a sea of fire, and turned his people into a starving rabble, requesting aid from his would-be enemies in return for the nuclear related enrichment programs in his country being stopped.
Some issues following his death: Who will succeed the crazy man? If reunification with South Korea is sought, would South Korea even want it's northern half back in it's current state? At it's core, North Koreans & South Koreans are all brothers and sisters, but I'd like to hear some input on that. Overall, just share what you think will happen now that Kim Jong-il is dead.
EDIT: And of course, may Kim Jong-il rest in peace. Do not begrudge another man peace in death.
