We have added a new category of smilies: emoji. Keitai users will immediately recognize them.

Enjoy! 🙂

:33: -- My eyesight isn't what it should be, but I'd wager that it's ツ祝, as in ツ「ツ祝ツ!ニ辰ニ蛋ニ陳債ーツ新窶ケLヒ弯ツ」 or ツ「ツ祝ツ!Firefox 1.0 ツ青ウナスツョニ椎?ニ椎?ツーニ湛ツ」.

Oh that's funny. I noticed the new smilies yesterday, but it is not until I saw this post that I realised they were from a keitai. Are they the docomo ones ?
Only a few of them are similar to those on my keitai.

Wow.....

Kinda small !! Do they have a brail version for us blind folk?

Frank

might I be so rude as to ask for a furigana reading of that?

For ツ祝 or for the sentences?

Well, here they all are with 窶堙絶?堙ァ窶堋ェ窶堙 in place of the ナ?ツソナスナ。:

ツ「窶堋「窶堙ュ窶堋「ツ!ニ辰ニ蛋ニ陳債ー窶堋オ窶堙ア窶堋ォ窶堙ォ窶堋ュツ」

ツ「窶堋「窶堙ュ窶堋「ツ!Firefox 1.0 窶堋ケ窶堋「窶堋オ窶堋ォニ椎?ニ椎?ツーニ湛ツ」

I meant for ツ祝, but the full listing helps too ^^
thanks!
any reason why they put congrats in a little red ball?
is it supposed to look like a paper lantern or maybe a balloon?

I'm guessing it's one of those informative bubbles, like 窶。ナ?, 窶。ヒ?/size], or 窶。ツ充/size].

And now a question of my own: does anyone know how to get the "days-of-the-week" bubbles with IME? I used kigou to get the ones above, but the days of the week weren't listed for some reason, and I don't know where they would be. They aren't listed under ten either.

what the heck are those anyway?... I've seen them under that typing kigou thing, but what ARE they?ツ and things like these --> 窶。g what's the wee little katakana for?

(shouldnt have mentioned kigou... that just opened pandoras box of idiot questions over here >_<)

I suppose they're just abbreviations for often used words, units, etc. -- like just the "water" kanji in a circle for Wednesday, instead of writing out the whole word. I must say that I've never seen "little" written like that, though. I've seen the metric units, monetary units, and others, but not that.

Ugh, I'd rather not use the charmap. However, after looking through various newspapers and television stations' websites, it seems that these are forgone for just the parenthetical version. It still kind of bugs me that I can get them easily on my Mac, but not on the PC.
