ever since i got here i've felt creeped out by this place. in my room i swear sometimes i'd see figures in my periphial vision. at night when i put my computer in standby it kicks back up a couple minutes later. last month i was in my bed and i felt someone tap me on my shoulder. there have been various suicides and unexplainable occurances in my dorm and in other buildings throughout Kadena. in fact, there is a vacant dorm behind the building i live in....reason? it is haunted. someone was mysteriously choked to death. an airman in my dorm experienced the same thing several months ago. he had hand marks on his neck but he didn't die. he keeps salt around his room thuogh to ward off evil spirits.

found this in another forum.... i had no idea this existed.

I had some freinds that were MP's..on Kadena AFB....and they were some of the coolest guys...we would alway take our girlfreind and go traveling all over the island checking out spooky poop.....some places where normal civilians can't go. They have heard of a rumor about an US spy interigation building...and that it was so well hidden that they built the bulding about 1000 from the smallest road, bringing the supplies and building materials on a small foot trail, trying to keep it as hidden as possible.....the location of this building is inside Kadena AFB, and in the restricted area, near the weapons/fuel depots. Well, thanks to my MP buddies..we went for a drive...one of my buddies was taken there, so he knew where it was. He took us all there....Me, my GF at the time, my roommate, his GF, and two of his buddies, and their GF....the guys were all American GI's, and the Girls were all Japanese babes....after we parked the small bus we had, we all unloaded the van, and then the leader told us where we were....a friggen POW interigation/assination building....it was late at night, we all had our flashlights, and as soon as we passed over a small wooden bridge over a creak, a few of the lights flickered..no-on noticed....then when we got to the building...it was strange....out in the midle of nowhere, in the thick jungle, there is this darn 2 story building.....and as mention before, there was only a footpath going to this building. When we got there, the building was just damp, dark, and looked like no-one found the place for like 40 years...the doors were open, no windows, and no nothing...completely empty, except an old desk, 3 chairs, and a staircase leading up to the second floor. After we heard the supposed story...we really started looking around...and there were bullet holes in the walls, chains laying around, the second floor only had one room, and a door. we looked out the door and it had no stairs, balconey, or even a step, down below there was only bamboo trees, and shrubs...we didn't think nothing of it, it was just another cool feild trip. Whee the leader told us later that this was a the interigation HQ, and that this is where they took most of the captured high ranking or important Japanese natives during the first couple days after the occupation started, or riaght as the American can a foothold on worn torn island, but that mention, you can just feel the inhumanence that was present...thinking about how they would interigat the prisoner, then they would eather shoot them, or give them the chance to escape....upstairs. Supposedly...they would take the prisoner after they were interigated...and would lead them upstairs to the room, with the simple exit...and would have them open the door and simply push them off the ledge...in to the freshly cut bamboo skewwers that was waiting down below....... when the ladies finally figuered out what we were saying, and then they started talking to themselves...they was begging to leave...so we left....but as we was leaving, we saw a wall that had been the place where someone was clawing with their bare hands to get out....and the grooves were deep....so that guy really must have been trying to leave real bad.....it was just plain creepy.....

When I was in Okinawa , Me and my friends went cave hunting! It was so much fun! We tried to take the japanese girls with us, but they were really scared out of their wits. They would start to cry sometimes. Seems like many Japanese girls are strong believers of spirits in Okinawa. Wierd thing is, everytime we try to enter a cave a HUGE! Banana spider would be blocking the way. It's almost as if something is trying to tell you something.

And another freaky moment is when my Half Native American friend came along with us. He claimed this crab was motioning to him, and point to a direction with it's claw. I was there to see it, and it did give me the goose bumps.

Several housing units on Camp Foster are thought to be haunted too.

Here is a picture of one of the most haunted places on Okinawa. If I remember correctly it's near Katsuren Castle. Look for the Temple on the hill. Suposedly very haunted according the Okinawan Natives:

OH!!!! Go to Okuma Island at night. Another haunted place! Its so fun going out at nights and taking the girls along.

BTW....say hi to Sayo at the PX for me....she works at the BX photo development center near the entrance. v(^_^)V We still talk to eachother. hehe.

Good word of advise. EXTEND! Dont leave Japan. I miss it too much! I was there for 3 years and still have not explored all of the island.

I have to check that place out this weekend. I've been camping up in Okuma. I went looking for firewood one night and I didn't feel alone. I do enjoy it here and I'm going to be here for 3 years so I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to explore.
