also, as a note, if you are an American (this goes for many other countries as well too), you cannot join any other country's armed forces without giving up your american citizenship first. Joining another country's armed forces is consindered treason by the government IIRC....

EDIT: disregard what I just said, I was told this by a friend who is in the USAF, but it was obviously crap info
