I have several swords that I have been trying to translate I was wondering if this is an appropriate place to ask? and is this the kind of photo needed or should I post the whole blade?

This is a good place to ask. Your sword says
藤原統行 Fujiwara Muneyuki

Possibly a smith from Bungo Province, 1600s. As you may know, there are many, many (many!) fake signatures in the sword world. Hard to authenticate just by looking at photos, and usually the sword would need to get looked at in hand by one of the authentication authorities. NBTHK in Japan is the gold standard.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your reply. I have assumed these could be fake signatures and I have many, so I have been reluctant to send them abroad for authentication.

So I have come full circle with this wakizashi. I had it authenticated and it is original, can someone help me translate the paperwork? They really don't give you anything translated.

Features:
forging pattern: itame
hamon: straight
bōshi: straight with hakikake turnback
nakago: one hole
file marks: katte sagari
Notes: From Bungo province, circa Meireki era (1655-1658)

The stamps are from the validation committee.
