I think a simple "Members Only" sign, would suffice.mushroom said:

Eventually my boss dropped the record store and changed it to a more upscale bookstore, it had been one of the most popular underground record stores in my town, but as a bookstore, it floundered and eventually went out of business, bought out by an old employee under the old name, but never even comming close to its old glory.
My point is that sometimes you cant choose your patrons, the best way to do this is through membership, or dress code--- certainly a dress code for a fancy bar would keep away the 'mohawks'....
I think I do understand what most people are trying to accomplish with such signs, but in the United States a sign which read "No Coloureds" would raise eyebrows and lawsuits quicker than you can say Irashaimasen......
Similar concepts of racism really don't exist as much in Japan. Furthermore, what second generation Asians living in United States feel insulting to the Japanese hardly make the Japanese blink--- they care far less about what people living outside of Japan feel that they should be railing against---
Just my observations.
Besides, I don't think I'd ever want to be a part of an organization that admited me as a member, anyways. (w/ a nod to Groucho Marx).
