Is there any online Karate schools for free because I want to learn it!

I dont think learning Karate online is really a good idea. One reason, No supervision so you have noone to correct your stance, posture, or to teach you the proper way to execute the technique without causing injury to yourself. If you really want to learn , I suggest finding a real school.

Ronin seconds that notion.

Good work my dear cat...guy...thing...whoever...

definitely!!! I think you should find a real school. online learning for something like karate just doesn't cut it! for a langauge yes but not for a martial art.

Learning any sort of martial arts without proper supervision by a trained professional can be VERY dangerous. Attempting my art (aikido) could result in some very bad damage to you and anyone else you attempted to do it with.

Go to China, find a retired martial arts ninj4 d00d and learn from him. You might have to train..

does this "d00d" know some sort of five point punch and have a long white beard he strokes while whooping arse?

Learning Karate online is like learning to fire a gun online with precision accuracy. Sure, it looks simple, but you need to actually do it. Moreover, since there is more precision in Karate than firing a gun, you really need someone to coach you (as previously mentioned in this thread). Short changing your training means you short change your skills...not worth it...

learn from movies. the actors are your teachers, the special effects your goal.

Once you get the bullet-time effect down, let us know.

No one on earth is ever going to defend themselves from multiple people trying to kill them, then say they learned everything from their master who has a name that ends in ".com." I recomend if you serious then you go to an actual school, as there really is no otherway.

No watching Tekken doesn't count either in reality.

There might be something free or very low cost at a local YMCA or public department of Parks and Recreation. I practice a style of jujitsu called Danzan Ryu. Many (most?) of the dojo are non-profit and practice out of parks and schools and community centers. With that, at least you know the people who are teaching are doing it because they love it and they love to practice their skills, and they're not just in it to make money.

Anyway, here's a good resource to find out about martial arts online:

E-Budo.com - Home

There is a site that has some interesting karate downloads, particularly on Kata and Bunkai. It is more of a reference site for experienced martial artists and kata. Their Free Sample videos are pretty cool! Their instructor went to Japan to live and train with a 7th dan Master. It's not the Way to learn karate, but it's a great source if information.
