Is there a certain name for this type of art?

I remember being in a Japanese style spa hotel in Sweden, and seeing a similar painting. I was enchanted by it, but have no way of finding it again. All I know is that it looked very similar to the following picture. I am now wondering whether this style has a certain name, or if anyone knows any artists that has this style.

I would be grateful for any hints/ideas.

Are you thinking of "ukiyoe"? Ukiyoe is a Japanese wood-block printing genre/technique that typically features themes from Japanese literature or drama. I'm not sure if the picture you posted is an actual ukiyoe or not (it kind of looks like a noren curtain). Anyway, you can google ukiyoe and see if this is what you are thinking of.

(The particular picture you posted is from a kabuki drama, featuring the character Sukeroku). If you google for images of Kabuki Juhachiban Sukeroku you will find similar things).
