@Glenski- Thanks, but Gaijinpot seems more like a place for English Instructors and Teachers. Would be a shame to pay the FEE for posting an automotive mechanic job in an ocean of Language teaching jobs. I felt it would dilute the posting and probably go un-noticed.
@Mike- Since most of the cars we have in the shop are European and American, Japanese is not really required. (Although basic conversational Japanese is preferred) Most Shop Repair Manuals and Parts order forms are available in English as well. And a Mechanics Licence is not required for an Entry Level mechanics job here. The company will welcome any person who has a fundamental knowledge of how to do automotive maintenance. If the person can follow a step by step guide and is quick to learn how to use Diagnostic tools (via computer), they will do fine.
