Is "a a" possible?

Is it possible to write or say a string of "a a"?

For example, can we say "a a-thousand-centimeter stick"?

My instincts tell me no.

You would say "a thousand-centimeter stick" (or better yet, a meter stick or a meter-long stick) IMO.

The only way in English of using that example would be thus :- 'an a-thousand centimeter stick', but it seems very uncommon as I havent heard of it nor would I use it myself.
Using either 'a one-thousand centimeter stick' or 'a thousand centimeter stick' seems ok to me.
