I cannot completely grasp the meaning of その in the following sentence. As far as I can guess it's 代行指示 here, in other words same as 「志村貴子の繊細な人物の佇まいは」. If I'm wrong, could you please explain me why.

Is it to enforce an assertion? "星間戦争を生きる人々の姿を表すものです"

もの is a pronoun.

その繊細な人物の佇まい is what represents 星間戦争を生きる人々の姿 = その繊細な人物の佇まい represents 星間戦争を生きる人々の姿
（その繊細な人物の佇まいは星間戦争を生きる人々の姿を切なく写し出すものです ＝ その繊細な人物の佇まいは星間戦争を生きる人々の姿を切なく写し出しています）
