Internet Radio from Japan

While searching around in Google, I managed to find this: Japan Radio Stations Live - Listen Online

That is SurfMusic, a German website that offers internet radio for many stations in multiple countries. The link above is for Japan, where there are some stations that offer music and news. This might be a good resource for those who want to perhaps hear how some radio in 東京 (Tokyo) might be like, and perhaps just play it all day (I'm personally getting a nice mood from having this kind of background noise while studying, and I listen to FM Odawara which is hosted in Japanese). You can also download the .m3u files which you can play with VLC Media Player or something else.

On my Android, I tried finding radio stations but it's hard. However, I have one single app that is working, called ラヂオきしわだ, that is so far awesome in functioning in the first place, and also playing in the background. It's also neatly laid out with a time schedule underneath the play button. They play a mix of Japanese and English music. The app is free, so check it out.

Anyone else found things similar to these that are interesting? Post it right here, I personally want to hear more of this kind of thing.

I find a lot of the online streaming stuff of not particularly high quality (audio wise), unfortunately. Might partly be my connection speed.

Prende - audio dramas. (Also some music, but I haven't checked it out). You can stream them from the website, or download.

NetTV-News. It is just basically a wrapper which queues up youtube videos from various Japanese news channels.

Well I've had a giganticly hard time trying to get m3u and asx files to play on my Android tablet, but it seems TuneIn has a really wide selection of channels, including over 20 or 30 Japanese ones. FM Odawara is on the list too.

*EDIT* NHK also provides 3 of what I believe are pretty low quality apps (Everywhere I tune into their World News Radio, it seems to be a constantly looping jingle that switches between English and Japanese...), but the TV one works in a viewable quality. I can't seem to access the settings without crashing, but at least the TV itself works just fine, so if you're interested in that, check it out.
