Hmmm, it seems my relationship is back to front. :unsure: My b/f (Japanese) has no problem to say "I love you" many times, and I am really not bothered if he says it or not; in fact, I still find it unnerving sometimes. Myself, I'm really bad at saying it :( But in our relationship it doesn't matter because we each understand other's personality :-)

That's interesting and is definitly opposite of the norm. However, the most important thing is that you understand each other's personality. That is most important in any relationship.

I had to smile when you mentioned that your b/f says "I love you" many times to you. He's probably done his homework and heard or read somewhere that western women like hearing it and that it is a cultural norm for the man to say it. I hope he doesn't overdo it by saying it like 5 times a day when once in a while should suffice. Good luck to you both! 🙂
