We need to get used to the fact that Japan has become a cheap travel destination!

Inbound tourists spent 1.39 trillion JPY (USD 9.28 billion) between July and September, an increase of 17.7 per cent compared with the same period in 2019, according to the data released by the Tourism Agency on 18 October. Chinese tourists spent the most at 282.7 billion JPY, or 20.3 per cent of the total, followed by visitors from Taiwan at 204.6 billion JPY and those from South Korea at 195.5 billion JPY. Average spending per visitor was 210,810 JPY, up 29.4 per cent, exceeding the government's goal of 200,000 JPY by 2025.
