I haven't found a link to this site anywhere in this forum yet, so I'm gonna go ahead and post a link here. This site, Tokyoyakei.jp, is nothing but images of Japan, (primarily Tokyo), at night, under the lights. Most of the images are desktop/wallpaper size (1024x768 or whatever). There isn't an image in there that isn't beautiful. I have to be careful...if I spend too much time looking at the pictures, I get "J-Sick" (homesick, but not really home...get it?). And yes, I've seen the gallery here, and those pics are really nice as well...but not big enough for a desktop! :sorry:
That's one of my favorite site! The pics were captured over a short time period and compiled together (don't know if there's a photography term for that), but it looks extremely nice.
So far my favorite pics are the ones of the Rainbow Bridge and the skyscrapers. THat Rainbow Bridge is the same Rainbow Bridge in the movie "Tokyo Raiders." I can't beleive the size of it...it makes the Golden Gate Bridge look like toll booth.
in fact there is a statue of liberty, but it's just a small copy - I can't remember exactly, but I think it is about 15m?
It's like the other theme parks, where you walk through little Amsterdam (or the Netherlands) and so on
so you need not to waste time in the plane to get there - because of the limited time of holidays
