I was in the MAC store a few weeks ago and they had a product for your iPod called the "iLingo". If you go to TalkingPanda[.com] (I can't provide Links -- how stupid.), you can read about what iLingo is. To sum it up, you upload it onto your iPod and you can carry it around with you and learn the language of your choice. You can choose Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin. Each language has over 400 phrases to learn. The categories include: Getting Directions, Dining, Making Friends, and Entertainment, just to name a few. It has Audio files created by native speakers which provide proper pronunciation for all included phrases.

I was just wondering if any of you have heard of this product, and if it would be good to pick up. I believe its $49.99. I would also like to say my japanese is horrible, I only know like 5 words. Could this be a good beginner tool? I thought this might be good though -- concidering I am on my iPod everyday!

Also, as a sidenote -- i'd be paying 49.99 for 400 phrases only. Worth it?

I would do the 6 month subscription (phrases downloaded daily, plus a learning web site & forum) for actual lessons at a lower price if it were me...

Yes, I wish I could. However I am only 16 and do not have a credit card. I have asked my parents to help me place money on paypal or if I could use their credit card for this but they just will not budge!
