Hi everyone! 
I've never been to this forum before, but I've been studying Japanese for a while. I'm interested in Japanese language, modern and traditional culture, etc. I live in the USA, and I'm white. But a lot of my interests seem to come from Japan.
I hope to live in Japan someday, and maybe even attend college there if I can get accepted (very unlikely-but if I study enough, who knows?). I know what you're all going to tell me...don't worry about it. I've already had my share of people whispering 「外人｣ behind my back. Or it at least sounded like that. And I know that Japan isn't perfect. But neither is any other country.
I hope to see you all around the boards soon!
P.S. About my username, iamstrange. It's my username on the Japanese Language forum on about.com. On the day that I joined, I just couldn't think of anything else. I know, bad excuse.
