Pride, like egoism, is an illusion, so it has no real taste. Both are manifestations of selfishness, which is sour, and there is too much sourness in our lives. Let's try to reduce it.

Its not cynicism. I'm only in a better position in terms of proof, since I don't have to prove the authority of teachings I don't believe in. The burden of proof does not lie with me in the current case. I'm merely sharing my beliefs, not unlike you.
