"FEI GEI TSOENG" litrally means "AIRPORT" but slang for FLAT CHESTEAD WOMAN, because of flat surface of runway etc..
becareful when using this as it could get you slapped by a chinese women!

"LA YING" means SISSY in cantonese it is funny word to say!!

and i guess other word i use sometimes would be "SEI BAT PO" which means DAMM *****, maybe you could say it to your pet dog if they annoy you! well.. excuse my language on this site i know some young people may see it! soo.. i apologize for the language being used here 🙂 , well that is my little crash course in slang and swearing cantonese for all the people intrested! and dream time you know of all this words right?? well their are many more i knoe but are too horrible to put on the forum i think!

but actually I don't like calling a girl 'Dzu pa' because that sounds disrespectful, I only call girls 'Dzu pa' only if they are the kind of girls that hangs out with some guys who tries to act like gangs,or I will just call them a *****...
 
ahh.. ok dream time!! you know many slang cantonese words etc.. i wonder if you know any hakka or mandarin swear words? as i do but cannot pronounce them properly!, well.. the only person i call "dzu pa" is my sister!! because she is stupid girl, she cheated on her boyfreind once so i called her it!, that i think was only time i used that word, and anyhow my sister learned from me calling her many rude words she now only has 1 boyfreind, and to my amazement he is taiwanese person who was a transfer student or something from some school in north england, and as far as i know from my mum the taiwanese dude is supposed to be super cool, yep here i see many people trying to act like gang's even hmm.. i guess you see a gang of chinese acting as if they are triads or something like that! but i stay away from them otherwise i may not be living tomrrow it is easy to spot a mafia or something here, basically they are only people who have a mercedes e-class with blacked out windows!

My mother tongue is french, of course. I am half italian and my family on my father's side is italian. I can speak it fluently, as well as english (but still make some mistakes in both languages).
I put four languages cause I am studying japanese and do my best for it to become in few years one of my fluent language.
I also can understand spanish pretty well (close to italian) and say basic sentences.
I have learnt latin for three years, but I lost almost everything cause I stopped it 4 years ago... and I can understand basic chinese words (thanks to my mother in law).
 
Native: English/Bad English
2nd: Japanese (lost most of what I learned in HS...Try now though)
3rd: Spanish (learning it with my son)
4th: Ancient Egyptian (Read Heiroglyphs, hasn't been spoken in years)
 
My main languages are English and Mandarin. As for dialects, I know Cantonese more than Taiwanese. Still trying to speak more Cantonese and Taiwanese, can understand them. As for Japanese, most prob I need bout 2 more years to master it, haha....long way to go.

Well, i only kno the two, English as a native language and Japanese thru 5 years of high school and a year of practice in country. I can read and write to a junior high school level and make conversation on basic things. 😄
 
Hi all, I speak english as my first language and am trying to learn German, but the grammar is a real bastard. I was just wondering if any Deutsch speakers could translate something for me; "Lichtspielhaus" I think it means Light play (game?) house but I'm probably wrong.

Lichtspielhaus means cinema, but it's quite obsolete now (common is "Kino"). It's probably deduced from Schauspielhaus, which means theatre (Schauspiel being the "play").

At School (long ago & most forgotten): French
Learning now: Mandarin
 
Even though I'm an American in Japan. I study/speak Japanese, French, and English (this is the hardest of all :D ). I feel that I will be a student of Japanese and English for a long time...after all Japanese is my favorite.
 
I'm native German and have a pretty darn good knowledge of English by now, often better than native English speakers I encounter online :D :D
I'm pretty good at Italian as well, learning it (all by myself) since many years already, and going to Italy every year.
During school I learned Latin which I was pretty good at, but not using it in a long time, it waned somewhat.
Besides that, I have also some basic knowledge in French, Japanese, Russian and Norse languages.
However, I also took a look at several other languages like e.g. Hebrew and Sanskrit, since I'm quite interested in languages in general. I really wished I had more time for it...
 
My native tongue is Dutch, I lived 6 years in Germany so my german(only speaking) is somewhat good, I learned french for 7 years or so(very rusty),my english is good and I'm learning Japanese(thx to my friend(she is SO SWEET), anime,and chatting a lot)...but what I like the most is pronouncing in the accent of the language...when I spoke Japanese I tried to speak like a real Japanese person, and my friend told me my Japanese pronounciation was very good)...and in german and french I like to talk like a REAL native :-)

Fluent (native level) in English and Japanese, conversant in German and French, know the basics of Italian (thanks to five years of study in Latin). I now have Russian coworkers so I'm pondering starting on that. That and Mandarin Chinese.

Well, that would be right if you translated it literally word-by-word, but actually it's a very old word for "cinema" which isn't used anymore.

Take a look at the "German for starters" and "German pronunciation" threads which I posted in the German forum, I'm sure you'll find them helpful! 👍

I can speak Englsih(since it is my native tongue) and I am currently studying Japanese. I would like to learn to speak Russian and maybe Finnish.

I found this ironic that I am a hispanic(spanish/mexican mix) but I can speak little spanish
