I have played and beaten the videogame Halo but it is beyond me why everyone that is into games worships it. Don't get me wrong it was not a bad game I just dont think it was a ground-breaking game like everyone says. It was just like any other first-person-shooter to me. So I would appreaciate some feedback on this topic because diffrent insites are always good.

When it came out with the Xbox, it was the bomb. The best thing about it is the Multiplayer, thats is the golden nugget of the game. :box:

I frequently hear how poor the PC conversion of Halo is... I'd say they waited way too long before porting it to the PC, so no wonder it looked a bit dated.
Hope they don't do the same mistake with Halo 2.

When I first heard of the game I was like WOOOOOOOW...I couldn't wait to get it....but I didn't have an Xbox...soooo I had to wait to get it on pc....when I got it BAM...I was like...OMG???where's the nice action and graphics ? ....but it's a nice game afterall...

id say just the multiplayer bit. im not a huge fan of the came either but it is fun when you get some friends together and try to kill each other on it. not much different from goldeneye on the N64, except no one can be lil short guy ﾂｬ.ﾂｬ

The thing about Halo is that the fun was placed in co-op mode. You can spawn each other in checkpoints, simitaneiously clear out rooms, kill each other to stockpile ammo, etc. Get a friend and you'll find the difficulty easier to handle, even on Legendary.

It's got some pretty wide open spaces for an FPS to boot.

I think Halo was a OK shoot em up game. Not much fantastic in that game if you compare it to the shoot em ups that were already around on the PC at that time. So not much new stuff there.

For a console game, it was one of the best shooters of that time I guess. But still as a PC gamer I was not impressed with Halo.
Halo 2 looks like the same stuff imo, with some new moves in it, new story, better graphics, new enemies, new environment and that's it. Nothing really revolutionary there.

The shooters that will probably rock however are Doom 3 and Half Life 2.
Also Killzone for Playstation 2 looks very interesting.

Actually, I was reading everyone's responses and had to think back to a shooter that appeared on the PS. I think it was called PO'ed or something where you were a cook and you had to fight giant alien asses and they made fart noises. You had a frying pan as a weapon at first. At the time, I hated it. But now, I think it's kinda funny.

Back to Halo.

I loved Halo. I had a lot of fun with it.

you cant really compare ninja gaiden and halo togethor though. They are 2 completely different types / genre's of game.

I never really liked halo very much but that could have been my PC fanboy bone kicking in. I was super excited about Halo when i first saw the preview screenshot of it when Bungie were originally making it for the PC. Then they took so much time to bring out new news, and then the news was they were screwing over PC users (who had been waiting for this game for 1 / 2 years) so they could put it on the xbox.

I played some co-op with my brother on it when he bought his xbox and thought it was good, even though i cant play fps with a pad..but just the whole debacle that lead up to its release on "the wrong platform" kinda put me off...

They need to make some sort of mouse + keyboard controller for consoles... anyway, I have to agree that Halo didn't seem all that great. I would much rather play Unreal Tournament (especially 2k4) for the PC or Brute Force for the Xbox... Speaking of which, I found Brute Force to be considerably more revolutionary than Halo.

I have the p.c version its not the best graphics cause my p.c is not the best out.

I just think its the best FPS out at the moment besides Far Cry, then their is Half Life 2 on the way + Doom 3.
Halo would not be as good as these but their is always Halo 2 coming out and that is going to push them aside.

Is the lead character for Ninja Gaiden the character from Dead or Alive called Hayabusa (am not sure if i spelt his name correct ) the ninja dude.

Thanks i hear Ninja Gaiden is really good. BUT Very hard which is also good (somethink like the enemys learn you moves and kick your a$$)

I have seen a clip of Nina's game the assassin from the tekken series and it looks rubbish.

I just thought i would share that with everyone who interested.

I would say the best FPS on the xbox at the moment is The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Block.

As for Halo, I think it is over rated, the levels are very generic, lots of corridors that look the same, not enough variety.
