I grew up with him, he was my closest friend...the only person who was ever there for me through thick and thin. He was all I ever had...and I went through a lot of crap when I was younger. He never judged me, or hated me, or chose to deny me comfort when he didn't agree with the way I did things, or what I thought.
He was so afraid to tell me that he was gay when he did, because he knew that I strongly apposed such things, but he took that step. And I greatly admire him for his courage. He's such a great person, I couldn't possibly dream of leaving him behind simply because he made a different decisions than most people. He's like a brother to me, and I love him so much.
If you can leave someone behind because of something like that x24, when they've done so much for you and they've been your support for all your life.......it's such a sad thing, to think that so many people are forsaken because of something so unimportant.
