How to Change Order of Posts Displayed in a Thread?

Hello!

Is it possible for a user to change the order of the posts shown within a thread? Specifically, I like to have the newest post show on the top of feed when I open a thread. I think that would be something like reverse chronological order?

Not positive , but I think somewhere under the "preferences" section among the 10,000 items to check off , it might be there. Hopefully someone here not in the early stages of dementia & short term memory loss will have a correct answer.

It seems not.

XF 2.2 - can we show newest reply first in a thread?

Is there an option per node for me to list the messages in a thread in reverse-chronological order? That is, latest reply comes on top. To illustrate more clearly: First message |- Last reply |- Last-1 reply |- Last-2 reply |- ... |- First reply

The good news is that according to the thread you linked, there's an add-on to provide that functionality. Too bad "add-on" sounds suspiciously like "costs extra".

"Reverse thread order" was something vBulletin had ages ago. For Xenforo, that would require another (paid) add-on.
