How to book wheelchair-friendly room only 7 days prior

well.

Guro and I have got two tickets for Japan (Tokyo) scheduled 24mar-10apr. but how to get decent place to stay that are also wheelchair friendly in such short notice. well we have been on the phone and online for about 24 hours now and we think that we have succesfully found a room for one day in Hiroshima 27mar-28mar (Tokoyo Inn, Hiroshima City) and for one night in Okayama (28th of march). Trying to find something in Tokyo and these spots might be available; Higashi-Guchi, Kuko no2, Nagacho Eitabashi And Kita-Guchi. Which one of those could anybody in this forum recommend for us, please?

also; what does the Eki in Hiroshima-eki stand for?

I don't have any personal experience with wheelchairs, but I imagine most major business hotels should be okay.

Toyoko Inn (is that where your Hiroshima reservation is?) is pretty accessible. Toyoko Inn - Hotel List / Reservations

Eki means station, so Hiroshima-eki is probably the absolute centre of town.

If you google JR (Japan Rail), you should get an English site. You can pick them up at the station, but it may be easier to simply buy them when you get there.

The only time I buy ahead is when I get a hotel pack, and I need to get both together. That would be a fair bit more difficult to do without reading Japanese.
