Household chores acronym

Hi.
Some years ago I remember hearing some sort of an acronym for household chores, like ﾂ「窶堋ｳ窶堋ｵ窶堋ｷ窶堋ｹ窶堋ｻﾂ」, where each syllable stands for a first syllable in a respective chore (like laundry or cooking). Given that the source is anime (Minami-ke, probably) I'm not quite sure that this thing is even real. If someone can shed light on this it will be greatly appreciated.

I know the one for cooking: さ = 砂糖、し ＝ 塩、す ＝ 酢、 せ ＝ 醤油、 そ ＝ 味噌 (major seasonings in a lot of Japanese cooking). Why 醤油 is せ I don't know (old kana?)

Right, That's from the historical kana usage せうゆ. (And そ is from みそ, of course.)

Why? Is there gender specific language there? Or is it just because of household tradition in Japan? (Please forgive my ignorance, I've been studying Japanese a little more than a month, so I don't know much yet)
