Hitchhiking

Hello, I know it has been discussed before, but I want to hear some recent hitchhiking experiences in Japan.

I'm thinking of trying to get from Tokyo to Osaka in early December, wondering how I would work it.

I'm a male, wondering if I should go with a female friend to get the "look we're not dangerous" points that may be needed to make it the whole way easily.

What do you guys think?

I have a friend who hitchhiked from Fukuoka to Kobe in one day, longest wait for a car was 10 minutes. This was last year!

The track seems not to take the hitchhiker.
It seems to be being ordered by the track company.
A reason seems to be the issue of compensation of a trouble such as an accident.
It seems to be difficult to hitchhike in Tukiji.

Mike might "drift" over and crush you under the rear wheels to put you out of your misery, but can't picture him breaking company rules, LOL.
