After "Lost Japan" and "Dogs and Demons", this is Alex Kerr's third grand œuvre. I can't wait to start reading it tonight.

Tokyo Llama did a Youtube video with Alex Kerr, in which they both went to an old house in Shikoku, with a view to having Alex possibly buy it, or somehow fund part of its restoration. It was a good video, and they ended up visiting Alex's house in deepest Iya Valley in Shikoku (the middle of absolutely nowhere).
