I have been to japan. Never lived there but we go for the entire summer. And yes, it is very beautiful and the culture is rich; especially in the country my grandpa's garden
however the societal pressures of japan to conform doesn't fit with my independance. my mom always says that i'm lucky to be in america because I'm too stubborn and head strong for japanese society (just like my father, XD)

EDIT: Yeah, from the way I phrased it, it seemed like I've never gone there... what I mean I hope to be able to con Princeton into sending me there to do research... now to think of a topic that requires that I got japan
