As an old dude without much technical expertise, I must apologize for my lack of an introduction before posting on this site (first forum fauz pas). I only just now read my obligatory welcome and thought I may as well say hello. I'm a Sansei living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Regards, Yosh

Thanks everybody, for the greetings. I'm almost Uncle Frank old I guess but I have long hair, ride a Harley, and play guitar in a blues/rock band so's I guess I grew old but not up? I'm a half century old in years but, "it ain't so much the years, but it's the miles".
 
Hey Bro !! I dig the scene. Now I ain't got the hair, except the 'monk's ring', but I can play them blues !! Just give a one, four, five pattern in G, and I can go to town.

Actually, I'm not that good, but can hold my own, in my own way, and have played on stage a number of times before a real, live audience. I guess I like the Mississippi sound a little over the Chicago, but the blues is the blues. . .

You gotta feel it to play it. Haven't gigged for a while, I ain't that good either but I think I'm feeling the need to get out and do it again. You a hakujin in Japan? I'm a nihonjin in the States. World's crazy cool kawaiso heh?
 
That's right !! I be what you said !! And it is a really cool and wild and crazy world--that's why I love it--and the only one we got.

Who knows, maybe someday, we can gig together. That line you talked about, the Robert Johnson lick; I'll give it a swing. I've got the re-do of his works, so will have to use that to support it.
