Help with my first book

At the moment I'm reading my first book in Japanese, well rather a short story maybe since it is only 29 pages, and even though I'm surprised by how well it is proceeding I'm having trouble with a couple of phrases. The story is called 郵便机.

My first question is about a person described as 心までひくい, from context I can guess but I would like a comment on the nuance from someone who knows this since it is about one of the main characters. I had similar problems with all the 気が...、気に... expressions until I got a list from my teacher with a lot of them. It is difficult with expressions that aren't in my 電子辞書 nor in Edict.

I have read 12 pages so far and I'm sure I will have more questions as I proceed. Thanks in advance!

Not sure, but I found a decent example of 心が低い in use.
同じ学ぶにしても、人を見下し勝つことが目的だとします。人が競いあうことは悪いことではありません。ただ見下すような気持ちがあるならば、それは心が低いといえるでしょう。

[（その？）想像は正しいようだ] という言い回しですが、正しいと思いますが、普通の日本人はこの言い方はしないのでしょう？恐らく、[想像していたとおりです]。の方が良いかも知れません。
こういうことが言いたかったんですよね？

今までにもう知っていたらごめんなさい。あらゆるチャンスを利用して勉強するしかないですね。

家に？

使い方の例をありがとう。僕の想像していた通りでした。
もう一つ質問があるので、今日（家に）戻ったら（ここで）聞くと思います。

お言葉ですが、David Hallgrenの言いたかったのは「もうすぐまた質問が増えるでしょう」か「また質問をしたくなるでしょう」ということだと思います。

I'm actually not too sure what the best way to put in Japanese would be, but I think he wanted to say "I will probably have questions later, so I'm sure I'll be back to ask them."

Yeah, I got that as well. To be more precise, this is how I understood it: "I'll probably have more questions soon; I think I'll probably try asking them when I get home tonight." I'm also not sure of how best to say it in Japanese.

I think Pox's interpretation is probably on spot, the only ambiguity being whether it was meant to indicate returning home or to the boards.

そしたら家に帰った時、ここで質問します。」はどうでしょうか。

その日本語の言い方はいいか良くないかは私には分かるはずがありません。

I was trying to say that I wouldn't know whether the Japanese translation that Pox gave for that sentence would be good or not, because I'm not Japanese.

I didn't get back home until real late last night so I didn't have time ask anything then. Thanks for all the comments, I guess I tried to say something like: "Jag har sﾃ､kert fler frﾃ･gor snart sﾃ･ jag tror att jag fﾃｶrsﾃｶker frﾃ･ga nﾃ､r jag kommer tillbaka."
Or, since everyone might not understand that, as Glenn put it:
"I'll probably have more questions soon; I think I'll probably try asking them when I get home tonight."

I read three pages yesterday so I have a couple of new questions:
おしりのとがったやつはあまいんですね。
This is made as a comment to an apple the person ate. I understand it as something like: "Those with a pointy end are sweet, don't you think."
But since I can't quite think of an apple with a pointy end I guess I must have misunderstood something.

The next sentence I'm confused by is another one with a 心:
(いつも人からばかにされてやしないかと、) きょときょとしてる心のせまさがあります。

As always it is the sentences with few kanji that give me trouble, contrary to what I thought when I began

そうなんですよね。前に理解できますが、おそらくGlennさんが言いたいことと違う意味だと思いました。

(いつも人からばかにされてやしないかと、) きょときょとしてる心のせまさがあります。

I'm not real confident, but something along the lines
Whoever the subject is : "If someone is raised by everyone making them look foolish, they will have a narrow heart that is restless and searching."

If you are 100% confident that it is a comment on apples, you'll see a variety with "pointed end" here:
