Have any songs stuck in your head all day or everyday and can't get out?

Some song my sister played for me last night... I think it was by Green Day... I think... :? It was awful. :( I'll do you all a favor by not uploading this one. 😌

Janne Da Arc's "Gekkoka", Koda Kumi "Shake it", Se7en "Munshin (Tattoo)", and Dir en Grey "Cage" are stuck in my head often, unless I hear another song....otherwise, those are my songs.

Dir en grey - Berry

OK, I know this is off topic...but I need to ask. I recently realized that I don't really talk to anyone off the internet about Dir en grey, so I'm not all that sure if I'm saying the names exactly right (I was one of those that said Hide as plain old "hide" for the longest time). So...here's the way I say the names of Dir en grey. Please correct me if I'm wrong so I don't sound dumb when I do talk to someone in person. :p

Kyo = KEE-oh
Die = die
Kaoru = kay-OH-roo
Toshiya = TOH-shee-yah
Shinya = SHIN-yah

And don't laugh at the way I spell syllables, either. :p
 
Hey Japanimaniac, you're not the only one who wonders about such things... I'm sure there's a lot of names I'm pronouncing wrong in my mind (hell, in my mind, I still say "Mizer" like an old person who hides money under the mattress! :giggle: )

Unhh... as far as your Diru pronunciations look... seems OK... (I don't really notice whereabouts in the word the stress falls, though, because I thought Japanese doesn't really have much stress on one syllable as opposed to the others), except, I pronounce Die with 2 syllables (as in, not like the word "die" but more like "di-e" if that makes any sense... but you knew that anyway... :p ). Oh, and Kaoru I tend to accent each syllable about equally and make the "r" halfway between "r" and "l"... but that's only cos I heard it pronounced some times by Japanese film crew on a PV 😊

Someone leap in and correct me before I make myself look a total idiot! 😌

Uhhh... topic... I have Forbidden stuck in my head... again... :mad:

Kee-oh would be Kio... damn... it's hard to explain without actually saying it... 😌 Umm... it's one syllable... so think of like making a hard K sound like "C" in cut and adding yo... KYO!

Ka-oh-roo would be as close as I can explain... but don't say it too slow pronouncing each syllable or Japanese people will laugh at you... 😌

I should just record myself pronouncing them and uplod them... I am the worst person to explain :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
 
Hey, but both you guys helped! In truth, I'm doing pretty much everything you guys explained. When I broke the names up, I did it just to show how I pronounce each part, not neccessarily the syllables (though I did call them syllables, didn't I? Hm... :?). Only differences I can see in your guys explanations is that I just say "die". With Kaoru, I say it fast enough, and I kind of roll my tongue in a way so the R ends up sounding like a mix between a D, an R, and an L (does that make any sense at all?). Kaoru is my favorite, so I tend to practice his the most. :p So, it seems like I'm good to go!

Um....so....now...about this Malice Mizer pronunciation....-cough cough-☝

Die is right... it's just like we say die. :-) I'd tell you how to really pronounce it if they used the Japanese pronounciation but I'll just confuse you :LOL:

That would definitely help, if I had the money for the DVDs and a DVD player to play them on (or if my computer didn't suck and I was able to download them :-)). I was in heaven at Otakon when they had the DVDs playing at the Diru booth.

I heard that "mizer" was supposed to be pronounced "misere" like in the French way - except my stupid computer won't put the accent grave on the first "e" which would give a better indication of pronunciation. :eek: But my head is still saying "miser"......... 😊

not at the moment, but the problem with me is that i get songs, from out of no were, in my head, that are so bloody anoying.. i dont know what that happens.. for example, i am working, and suddenly i got this stupid Schnappie song in my head.. about this little crocodile.. or elvis presley, well things like that.. will i am not even a elvis fan, or a schnappie fan..
