The day was not a complete waste of time. Drove from rural Worcestershire to Heathrow in a very nice Mondeo rental. Sunday lunch in a decent enough airport hotel in the company of my son's godfather (who mentioned he had just completed the purchase of a refurbished farmhouse in southern France which we were welcome to use at any time - nice). Man C vs. Man U and L'pool vs. Chelsea live in the bar with draught Stella at 800 yen/pint. All in all a decent enough day and the flight the next day wasn't really all that bad either...

Roll on 2008 and another visit to Blighty.

Stella... that name somehow rings a bell...I believe I've purchased some canned ones down at the local Brazilian shop. Seemed like pretty good brew...but I still want to get my hands on some Indian Pale Ale !!
