I love Japan! This April i was there for the 4th. time (for four weeks)
For my next trip in 2007 i wanted to know which smaller cities (or countryside areas/ villages) are interesting to travel to.
I don´t like the big tourist spots so much...
Culd anyone of the japanese people in this community give me advice at this point?...
By the way, i´m from Germany...
Thank you before for that.
Greetings:

Greetings from Aichi, Japan!:-)
I hope you will enjoy being a member of this forum as much as I am, Kikujiro-san.

Would you tell us what cities in Japan you have already been to?

Hello Anchyyy,

Thank you for your welcome greetings.

some of my favorite smaller places in japan are Izumo, home to a great temple, Izumo-Taisha. And Tsuwano, a great little town with an old feel, both in Shimane Prefecture.

Thank you, I'm good. I'm an American teaching English out here in the middle of nowhere. :-)

Wow, both Kikujiro san and xerxes99-san have been to lots of places in Japan.
I also have been to many many places, from Hokkaido to Okinawa .

I really liked the areas that are facing the Japan Sea such as Fukui, Ishikawa, and Toyama Prefectures.ツ They still have beautiful nature.
