Good thing, too.

It's known as "A.D.W." (assault with a deadly weapon) and can land you in the pokey....where you'll be entertained by other crazy rednecks, minus your firearms.
 
Despite the fact that I wasn't serious.. It's called "there is a new law in the state of Florida that says that you may use a firearm in cases where you feel your life is threatened". The moment someone enters my house without permission, and where I feel my life is in danger, I can pump a twelve-gauge round in them.

I believe that particular right has always been affirmed when in one's domicile. Just make sure the holes are in the front of the intruder. You're not allowed to shoot them on the way out.
 
I come from a long line of soldiers, and I have had family in not only the NYPD, but also in crime scene investigation. I am fully aware of where the entry wounds should show up, and that I can only attack upon entry and not upon exit. Simply put, I can only defend myself against unlawful entry with the threat of violence.
