Has anyone or their significant other tried using any hair dye from Japan? My wife recently bought the Blaune brand hair dye from Kao, linked below.

Please share any experience with this or similar hair dying product from Japan. I've never used this stuff, but since my wife doesn't read Japanese, I'm ultimately the one who's going to apply this stuff. So I kind of have a lot riding on this! Any thoughts or advice are welcome!

I wish you good luck! But maybe have your passport ready for a quick escape to Japan if they dyeing doesn't go well. :ROFLMAO:
 
I once talked my wife into trying to dye her hair with henna highlights. It turned her hair into a perfect match to her purple car , LOL. Took a week or so to change it back to normal. She was the talk of her law firm for a few days. That was over 20 years ago and she still reminds me of it every once in a while.
 
We haven't tried it yet, but the box is in a position of honor at the kitchen table (so we don't forget about it). I'll let you know how it turns out. Hopefully well...because I picked out the color, too. It better not turn purple! The box doesn't say purple! lol
 
My wife was looking at the box last night and said she wants to try it soon. We'll see what that means.

We did start looking into the process in more detail, and apparently they practically beg you to perform a spot test on your arm before you commit to your hair each and every time! They say that even if you've dyed your hair with their product repeated with no issue in the past, it's still possible for a skin allergy to develop at any time.

Oh, and they even have instructions in English and Chinese online if you scan their Q-Code. We didn't look at them, but it's nice to know.
 
I think my wife has forgotten about the hair dye. She hasn't brought it up in a long while. Probably for the best. I've heard that once you start dying your hair, there's no going back. You have to keep doing it pretty much until you retire.
 
Years back , before going on a cruise , my wife's hairdresser talked me into doing my hair & mustache dark brown. Every time I looked in the mirror , I wondered who it was.
