Okay, gentlemen, it窶冱 time to come clean, to bear your souls on this particular topic: how many of you out there love shojo? I窶冦 45 years old and I窶冤l openly admit that shojo is my favorite genre in anime, and I have more of that than anything else in my collection. As far as I窶冦 concerned, there窶冱 no shame for guys like me to admit their passion for shojo. So, why don窶冲 you?

Are you into the girl power adventures of Sailor Moon? The relentlessly cutesy-pie exploits of Cardcaptor Sakura? The tender sweetness of Fruits Basket? The magnificent, flowery elegance of Revolutionary Girl Utena? The wacky, Seinfeld-like humor of Azumanga Daioh? The fantasy driven spectacle of Fushigi Yugi, or the hopelessly romantic chaos of Marmalade Boy? Guys, if you answered 窶忱es窶 to any of the above, then, by all means, feel proud about what you enjoy.

As much as I like giant robots, sci-fi, samurai dramas and humor, it shojo that I enjoy most and watch more than any other genre in anime. I live for the excellently done slice of life exploits of the genre, the cornucopia of emotions the characters struggle with, and the way those stories tug at your emotions, draw you in and keep you wanting more. While it may sound strange for a guy in middle age to say such things, I窶冦 not ashamed of explaining what I like, and why.

Now, fellas, it窶冱 YOUR turn! Embrace your feminine side and admit to your enjoyment of shojo.
😍

Shojo is just soo kawaii

Shojo is so kawaii anime , the girls are too kawaii they make me so jeliously sick that's why I DON'T like shojou ><!!

Plus the stories are at many times the "simplified" version of what it could be in a shounen ...

But ofcourse I'm not a "gentleman" now AM I ???

* BLUSHES *

Shojo anime makes up at least half of my viewing. Hi! I'm Sensebend and I am a shojo-holic :)

I'm not a big fan of how azumanga with its smart sublime humour is placed in the same group as stuff like sailor moon :auch:

Shojo is great, but not very realistic. they remind me that love still exsist.

😊 well since i cant resist touching animes, i've to say that shoujo makes up at least 3/4 of my animes collection... 😌 *is in love with aishiteruze baby* lol. yuzu-chan is wayyyyy too kawaii. But it have a different effect on me than on Suki-Yaki san, she's just too cute to resist, makes you wanna hug her and protect her... hahaha.. *runs off and hide under the stairs* 😊 (with an exeception of Sailormoon, i just cant get myself to errr.... l... l.. l... love it)

That's because most people don't realize Azumanga is not Shoujo. Last I checked it was printed in Dengeki, a magazine more oriented towards males.

I hate Shojo manga/anime so much. It's unrealistic. Yes I know that anime is not suppose to be realistic. I really don't care though. Watch something worthwhile and pick up the Hellsing box set.
