getting a working visa for non-native english speakers

Anyway, here is my situation, a school wants to hire and sponsor me becasue they really need my expertise but I am not from a native english speaking country. what options do i have so i can apply for a working visa? The school is registered as an "english school" in Japan, just so becasue their medium of instruction is english,but the real job they are offeirng me is to teach young children ( not just english) so...my big question is-what opitons do i have so that i can apply for a working visa?it is possible that the immigration in japan will grant me one?

Hi malaya,

you will just need to prove sponsorship by that school, a college or university degree, sufficient income to make a living in Japan as well as special skills (not necessarily related to language teaching). If granted, your visa status will be "Specialist in Humanities". I am one of them.

my University degree is Bachelor in Food Science and Technology but I didnt practice it as my profession. I have 6 years of teaching experience to very young children. I have 18 units of masteral degree in childhood education and i am a licensed
teacher here in the Philippines, now my concern is, will I pass under the category as a "specialist in humanities?" what do you think?how is the process?
