Obama is the first US president asking Israel to give up their latest colonies in West Bank. He's the first US president who accepts to let US being islamised by permitting women to wear the hijab inside of an administrative establishment which is a regression coefficient in sex equality and he strongly supports the Palestinian state so what does Hamas think of all that? Of course, they're happy because the new US president serves their interests.
My point of view has not changed since my last post in this thread.

Neither. Bush attacked Iraq and pretended that they had the nuclear weapon but it was only a pretext to find oil. He got rich by exploiting all oil on Earth and by polluting atmosphere. I agreed with him about one point : war against terrorism.

What are you talking about? There was no such laws on US. And Bush supported the palestinian state as well.

And Hezam, I've no quarrel with the Palestinian people, only with Hamas. They are the ones destroying the peace processes. The very fact that they claim to be doing the right thing because they kill less than Israel does is nonsense really. If they want the peace process to continue they have to stop hijacking the Gaza Strip and low their weapons during the negotiations.

Israel isn't intimidating or causing terror to the Palestinians, it is fighting the Hamas and their bases of operation and members (which are on residential areas). Hamas, on the other side, attacked civilian targets as a mean to retaliate and change Israelis public opinion.

And North Korea is using their nuclear program as leverage to get better deals with the rest of the world. And their only gain with it is intimidation through the possibility of them having nuclear weapons. It seems to qualify in the definition.

The point here, as far as I see, is that, on the long run, if Hamas stops it's jihad against Israel, there will be peace, a Palestinian state and hopefully the end of all hostilities. I don't see this as a 'we' against 'them' situation, although, in the end, the real problem is that both sides seem to think of it that way.

I cannot describe my being dumbfounded by your statement that the US is being "islamised" by allowing muslim women to wear Islam-compliant Hijab.

To actually believe that the lawful limitation of choice on one's own clothing, and moreso the intervention in the expression of one's religion, is not a fundamental regression in the development of "freedom" the North American people are so fond of, now that is a good mentality.

Well, there must be a limit about freedom. France has been islamised and now they regressed a lot in freedom because now people are called racists when they disagree about the islam ideology, hundreeds of people are killed every year by Muslims because they do not accept opposition and many women are forced to wear Hijab but their husbands are not arrested because the autorities allow people to wear it and there's no way to guess who's forced to wear it and who's not.

Defending yourself and Resistance to free your land is a noble goal.

Are you against colonisation in West Bank or you're entirely against the Israeli state? Because I don't understand why Jews couldn't have their own state. They have their own culture, their own religion, their own language and many other things in common so they are a nation. I believe that every nation has the right to have its own state with its own laws.
Plus, when the Allies defeated Nazis, the United Nations decided to create the Jewish state where they actually are so why do we blame them to be where they are? Why don't we blame the United Nations? They founded Israel and they put all Jews there. Then, the Arabic states began to attack them because they were angry about it and they've been forced to protect themselves. Since the end of the Six Days War, they've been the victims of many terrorist attacks and lots of israeli citizens have been killed. The Palestinians always refused to consider Israel as a state and same for all the other Arabic countries. They have a little state, a very little state. And there are over 50 arabic states. When Israel is trying to protect itself against those states who refuse to consider them as a state, everybody is against them. When their population increases and their little state is getting overcrowded, they try to colonize some lands but all the Arab world blame them to be terrorists. I can't believe it... they colonized over 50 countries and they cry when the little Jewish state colonizes some lands.
