@FF don't you have the second part of the scan? with Uru and Kai xD I've seen these 3 pages few days ago.
I think it's the time for them to change their outfits. 22nd of september isnt so far. + I'm really tired of those monotonous shoots
Btw, I'm back again. And I'm really happy after Dir en Grey concert and glad to see all of you here again 😍

No I don't have it cause the scan was cut in half. I wish they would do something different with their shoots and have nicer backgrounds like they did in the old days. One of us should takeover as whoever thinks up the shoots .


So I have a question. What do you guys think of GazettE's quality of music ?
 
I love their music and I love them...I`m not the one to judge it...as for their image...they`re wearing what they like, ne :giggle: As for me they can even perform naked *evil laugh* 😍
 
I was hunting for stock on a Diru community and there was a poll. On that poll GazettE had beaten Diru and a lot of DeG fans were like " Compared to Dir en Grey , GazettE's music quality sucks" .
To me music quality is just an opinion.
 
I don't know much about DeG...I'm sure they do great music though I am not familiar with it. I don't know how to explain myself but I think that Gazette is now the most popular band though DeG is a very very popular band that lasts a long time...so...the fans of DeG must like them really...but when you look at the fandom of Gazette...well, a lot of fangirls right? I think that that's why some DeG fans don't taky Gazette too seriously...
 
Well DeG is a cult band so they have a lot of hardcore followers.
I agree with you though cause one of the comments was that GazettE only sells because they are bishounen not manly like the Deg boys but I just think those comments came cause a lot of them didn't expect GazE to beat Diru.

I think there is an objective quality of music (think about f.e. bieber and co.) but I don´t think Gazette makes "worse" music than DeG. Gazette are technically very precise and Ruki´s singing is a lot better than it was on their begginings.Well, as for me, I like Gazette, but curiously, it is not my nr.1 band concerning music and songs :P (I don´t like everything from them). but I somehow got caught up in fangirlinG (seriously, who cannot fangrlr over uruha?), but I really respect the boys for their hard work as well :)
 
it was said before...I quite doubt that all fans of Gazette think that the look is just "adding"...there are a lot of them who prefers it.

I'm sorry for my mistake with DeG...I don't know much about them or their fanbase...I just thought that when they moved from VK style they lost a few fans...
 
sure they did, but so did gazette or any other band who moved away from VK..but they gained new fans as well, among them men as well...but the majority is still girls, no doubt lol
and VK is about looks as well, you can't deny it, and bands build knowingly on their image, together with jpop, k-pop and after all, most of the music world...
let's say so: if I wasn' t interested in their look, I wouldn' t be here on the forum, or other comms on lj and such, because I would just dl/buy their music and not collect infos and photos about them :)
 
Ol...you're right xDDD of course that I'm interested in their look...but some fans shouldn't forget about music...

if you know Popcorn magazine...lately there are articles and news (which are half of a year old xD) from VK scene...I'm pretty scared because the teens that read it started to kind of like it...and you can read there letters from readers such as "I'm vISu aNd iT's soOoO cOoL"...or some dolls from girl band and as the article said "every real visu have to have one of them"...(I don't really know who came up with "visu")

Oh..."Gazerock is not dead" T-shirt arrived today...and it fits me...I'm so glad😄
 
I think music is a very personal thing.
I don't get why people have to compare bands and talk sh*t about other peoples taste in music. Anyway, as FF said, music quality is just an opinion. If someone tells me Gazette is a shi*ty band with bad music that's just their opinion, it doesn't make me think their music is bad, so I think there's nothing wrong or right when it comes to what's good and bad music. :-)
 
Yeah since DeG toned down they gained a male fansbase as well but like Ol said the majority are still girls so it doesn't matter if they are manly or not. A male fan I knew who liked Deg & GazettE once told me that he wished GazE were like DeG appearance wise cause he's embarrassed to be associated with girl men story again. That would just lead to the "look" factor we discussed many times in here.

I agree with Ol if I weren't interested in their look I wouldn't be collecting pics or on the communities either and even when ppl base their fav band member I'm sure looks account for that as well . It's not an entirely bad thing and the fans do like that aspect but it's the posers I don't too much like :sick:

What is " Visu" ? :LOL: Popcorn are some major comedians. Axe if you still post here in 2011 you tell me when they get the Tokyo Dome news :LOL: . I'm glad you finally got your shirt

As far as i know, the term "visu", meaning "a fan of Visual Kei", comes from German (Popcorn is a German mag and it has a Czech edition, too), where this type of abbreviating words occurs often, so it is probably not as weird for them as it is for us. However, the Czech edition adopted the term, although it is so odd and lolable to many people...

And yeah, agreed that the quality of music is a subjective thing and comparing bands in the "who is better" way is stupid.
 
yeah, visu comes from german visual..
we have a similar magazine in slovakia, it is called "Friend" in translation and it is just so stupid as popcorn...Gazette has been featured there, but don´t worry, it didn´t become a major phenomenon lol...
well, every generation has it´s idols...I still remember the spice girls mania in 90ties...haha
those people get old and get some brains, or they just leave the scene..and there will be younger generations after that and some new trend, when all gazette boys will be really old geezers with beard and unshaved underarms like kyo and belly fat like american rockers lol...maybe then your friend will not be ashamed anymore FF XP

"So.. about Ruki. I heard from my friend who went to the live in Koshi tonight, that during Kantou he suddenly ran back stage. The others had to finish Kantou without vocal. Then after that there was a long break, when Ruki came to talk to Kai. Kai then announced that Ruki wasn't able to sing. Anyway, after that they played Linda, without vocal. But Ruki was there standing and mouthing the lyrics. He gestured the fans to sing in his place. But all in all, they managed to do the live until the end. For some reason, I was expecting Reita to be the first one to post about tonight. And he did. Trust him to comment on such moments. He just thanked everyone for tonight. & that he wouldn't forget the LINDA which was completed by everyone for his whole life."

it's actually from facebook so I was quite sceptic but it sounded kind of real...so I started to think xD...and that's the tragedy xD I posted it on LJ if it's true..I think there are more informated people -.-

Ru stopped singing during Kantou and he didn't sing LINDA. The fans sang it that's rather touching. The unity of the fans 🕺. I'm not worried about him and I hope he feels better soon.

haha the entry was rather chaotic...I am curious what was the reason he stopped singing, actually...
still, I think it is better than last year, when he had diarrhea xDD
