The most confusing one when I thought that Axe was for Leech when the lyrics say " the president " and Ruki clearly says " Baby". Also at the start of the song I thought the girl was saying " Nobody can play with you "
 
I've got to the point that instead of searching for lyrics I rather search for English translation...most often I never know which part was originally in English and which wasn't...shame on me🙇‍♂️
 
I think they just should stick to japanese, I don't like it when they sing in english when their english is so bad it's hard to understand the words. 😆 I don't like it when they mix english and japanese even if their english is good either. :eek: but again..that's my opinion. XD
 
Ladies , I was in an argument with a guy on another forum about gazettE.

If they ever want to tour US (which i hope they will) they should tone the VK down alot and its evident they wanna be like Diru so its a MUST.

I think they have toned it down a bit and as far as the europeans go, they love VK like crazy but im like 95 percent sure Americans wont go watch dressed up J-rockers haha unless its at a con.

I would like to know you girls opinions on his responses .

I told him that people go for their music and not for their costumes and that even if they come for a con he should still be happy that they were going to perform there instead of whining about them toning down.

It was very blunt on my part but I was in a pretty bad mood :eek:
 
xD I gave up the efforts to match the lyrics with what Ruki is actually singing:-)
it is a common feature to present mispronounced english and nonsensical words for japanese rock xD (you know, google translator is funny xDD)
 
hm...it is known that the Americans are conservative nation...maybe that influences their opinion...of course people want to hear their music...but I don't think that gazette would leave their image so easily...I think it's ok the way it is. I like VK for the music and lyrics and the appearance is kind of important too. Though some people put it to the first place which is wrong. If these guys don't want to watch them the way they are and want to change them, I don't think they are serious about them...
 
Well the where I told him to stop whining shut him up and another American guy said that given a chance ignoring their looks they would be a hit cause they have a decent fanbase in America.
The main point he was trying to say was that if they ditched their looks they would attract more fans.
I have said it before I prefer music over looks and I agree Axe if they don't go because of how they look then they are not serious.
 
regarding the looks:
I don´t know why going to perform dressed up VK is worse than going to perform unshaven, with greasy hair, drunken and smelly like some metal bands go. yeah, that´s what I think.
They have to choose between being super popular or being individual, there is no between, unfortunately.
or else pop would be different as it is today.
 
I don't know why people think metal bands are normal xD...sorry, if there is a fan of these types of bands...most of them don't even sing or play...just do mess and noise calling it art. Sorry I cannot give you an example because I don't know any.
 
Of course the looks isn't everything, but it's a part of vk, and a part that I like very much. I would be extremely dissapointed if gazette change their image or toned it down more just so the americans (and everyone else that doesn't like it) can accept their looks and start to respect them as a band. And as you said, if that what it takes for them to go and see them live, then they weren't a real fan to begin with. And why does everyone have to look the same??! Vk rocks, and if they don't like it then too bad. Go listen to Justin Bieber or something. >,< no offence to justin bieber fans.
 
Oh...I've seen one of his videos on TV...I mean Justin Bieber...he's so cute xD I'm sure that little girls go crazy of him xD I don't like the music and I don't like that such a kid is caught in showbusiness, most of them don't keep their level...his mother must be crazy to put her own son under such a pressure...

Agitha is right in my opinion...music is general but appearance is a part of it...these guys can go wherever they want for a concert no one said they have to go for Gazette's concert, if they don't like it, oh my gosh...it's so simple -.-

why do you think Visual Kei is called Visual?
xd...of course, of there is no more visual, it´s not VK anymore, see DeG- they are not VK anymore.
Gazette till have their looks, thought it is a lot more toned down than it used to be, but still, they are Visual in a sense they care about how they are looking. And it is god so, as you said, it is a part of what we like :)
 
@agitha - I agree they should go listen Justin Bieber.

No offense I don't like that kid at all. He is not cute and his music sucks. As for his mom she probably wants the money . As for Metal bands they have some scary unruly looking guys :mad:

I don't think the band should tone down for American fans one bit cause they don't tone done for Europe nor Japan so why should they ? They will change when they are ready ( the band ). I have nothing against Americans I'm just stating a point.

@ Axe - It is on an anime forum but they have fanclubs on the side and there is one for gazettE.

I saw the match by an accident...I was bored and watching TV...on one Slovak channel was broadcasted this match...winners were very happy😄...but the noise of vuvuzelas was horrible...after 15 minutes I thought I'm gonna jump out of the window!:mad:

The party had to be very wild when Uruha could sleep during earthquake which was a few days after his birthday xD
 
a friend of mine sleeps during earthquakes if she isn't busy too...... we don't have earthquakes where I live so I'd probably freak out if I ever felt one. Man Uruha is clueless!

I'd love to watch the World Cup games but they very rarely come on tv here, since it's not a popular sport in the country.

about the conversation about gaze having to become western or something -

I'm the only person who lives in the USA here right? O.O L'Arc en Ciel, Dir en grey & D'espairsRay were among the first visual bands to ever tour here and they still do (Diru & D'Ray tour here every year) and no one has ever had a problem with it. There are a few ppl who do, like the first time I saw Diru they were on tour with some domestic bands and quite a lot of people didn't like them because they were Japanese but their music is more metal now anyway.

Versailles, Miyavi, Kagrra, SuG, LMC, Ayabie and quite a few other bands have done tours or oneman shows outside of animecons and plenty of people went to them. Although - true enough - majority of Americans wouldn't appreciate visual kei if it became mainstream (like on tv and radio) but the bands realize that they have western fans and come for them. If the Gazette ever did any overseas shows, they wouldn't need to tone down anything, their fans will show up to see them. Just their fanbase. **** the majority or the rest of the country, as long as their fans show up to see them, nothing else should matter.

That party had to be a real massacre...I'm not used to earthquakes there are NO earthquakes in my country and I have never experienced any...but STILL...it is an earthquake...the earth is shaking, everything is flying around you, when it's really strong buildings fall down...EVERYONE must feel it. Uruha was probably in alcoholic clinical death or what xD

Uruha sleeping true an earthquake..that's priceless. XDD I'll bet he was still hangover from after his bday, cause he was probably drinking while watching football. XD
