EDIT : So I checked the Japanese Wikipedia for the band and it said that he left because he had been hospitalized for sudden deafness and that he is a retired office worker . Then again it's Wiki

Yes, I heard about deafness on youtube, but I didn't believe probably because it must have been horrible for him...well I guess I wished it not to be true...
