Hi, girls! I'm new here.. first of all sorry for my shameful english (i'm from Russia, nobody cares about quality of teaching foreing languages there). I was reading this forum for some tme, and found the atmosphere here is rather friendly ^^, so I've decied to join you. Because here I found a lot of new information about gazetto, TANKS TO YOUUuu.. I don't know, understand you or not how it is to be the only one person with some 'unusual' interests (i mean for the most of people, if you are found of J-rock it is unusial) among the people you are used to live with. Now i stady in Norway and everyone here thinks I'm weird
I already like all of you ^窶栞^

I agree, guys have too much make-up on their faces, it makes them look like mannequins. even Reita has this lip gloss, it's not suitable for him. But this video was nice) I was glad to see Uru's smile and Ruki's eyes without make-up.. his sun-glasses was too transparent. I don't know why, but I don't really like Kai's voice ==

hi Sulfuric Rain! Thanks for joining us. yeah, I think with the exception of Reita and Ruki, the other 3 were totally creepy looking because of their makeup! the staff should've dimmed the lights or something so they wouldn't look all shiny as if they were sweating a lot.

@ SR - Welcome . I grew rusty with my Russian Yeah the atmosphere here is friendly ( cept when Miss Elric pulls her pranks ) that's one of the reasons I joined here.

Yes i do agree they should have dimmed the lights.

I'm waiting for new Sakai's post in his blog. The last one was intriguing in the case Uruha would like to abstain from alcohol. This habit is the only one thing I hate about him >.< Did not he really know that it is bad for his health??

@sr Aoi looks like my neighbors who are either Mexicans or PuertoRicans so no one would bother him here, just speak Spanish to him. and i made a joke saying that he was adopted from Mexico by Japanese ppl in which FF believed.
i only know the phrases I learn from Russian songs.

*laughs* there's quite a few guys who look like him near me. The only Russian music we've been openly exposed to was T.A.T.U mostly we get a lot imports from Germany and Scandanavian countries, and Launa Coil from Italy.

Is J-rock popular in the USA?

I never seen a Norweagian guy before. Not many northern European ppl living in my city.

Jrock isn't mainstream here, you won't see any bands on TV or hear them on the radio but some bands' cds do get sold here and a few bands come over and tour. it's like a fan only thing here. Only jrock fans know about the jrock events. so i'm not sure if you would call it popular. It's underground right now and I actually hope it stays that way.

@ SR - The Russian songs I know are from TATU , the russian anthem and this Kalinka song. I can speak semi spanish. I don't know about the USA. It definitely is not popular in my area of the world.

I hope too! But now mass-media tries to spread the popularity of J-rock bands.. you know, how it was with emo, for example =_= russian magazines (like..pop-style magazines, which usually tell about russian pop-bands, tokio hotel, cinema bizarre, ect.) start to make posters of Japanese bands, and I know almost all 13-year-old girls have Ruki in their rooms, only because this image was in the fav magazine.
and these girls came to MUCC concert.. I was ashamed of them

@ Elric - Nuuuu FF and MM are different letters I saw Dir en Grey once on Fuse.

Honestly if I saw GazettE being mainstream in the West I 'd freak out.

@SR i understand! I don't wanna see any young fangirls at jrock shows....especially the ones who only like the way they look and dont really listen to the music.

@ff FF stands for FINAL FANTASY hahaha they were on Fuse twice but not everyone gets that channel, I don't!

if they became mainstream in the West they would instantly be accused of being gay. the musi wouldnt even matter.

@ Kyo - Well me no play that game. I saw the one with Toshiya and Shinya I wished Kyo was there for that one.

Honestly Kyo , I think ignorance and lack of knowing other country's cultures causes that. Also they would loose their unique sound and I would lose all the puzzled looks whenever i mention them.

@ff that reminds me, my last year of high school I printed out some old pics of Dir en grey and Malice Mizer and brought them to school. my literature teacher thought that Toshiya was so hot and only one other person saw absoulutely no problem with the way they were dressed when I told them they were all guys. Mostly other males will call them gay cause of the way the look/dress.

although a male friend of mine held up a pic of Gackt I had and told the class that was his boyfriend. xD

i dont think they'd loose their unique sound cause Ruki will still be speaking Engrish. ahh the puzzled looks are worth it when you mention or show ppl visual kei

i told another guy friend that I wanted to drink with Uruha then showed him a pic of Uruha (from Guren) and he told me he looked like a mannequin. then i showed him a pic from Distress&Coma and he said, "ahh that's better. He looks real now, but now those two guys look like mannequins" he pointed to Reita and Aoi. xD

@ Kyo - Well Toshiya looks kinda girly but honestly the most my friends have ever seen them were on my FB profile pics. I had one of Aoi that fooled 6 ppl into thinking it was a girl and one with Uruha that fooled 3 others.

My mom saw the pic I put up and was like " Who are these girls ? " and when I told her they were guys she thought I was being sarcastic but she said she liked Aoi's hair cut. I not brave like you to go and show pics to others like that.

Ruki will be speaking engrish but they may stop dressing all Vk and stuff. They look like mannequins! I think Guren Uruha looks more real than D & C. Here I am thinking you are a teenager going to school!

yeah my aunt calls all visual kei bands girly men. she always ask me, "have any new girly men videos?" she likes Ruki, Kai, Uruha and Satoshi from Giru.

in my creative writing class we had to write ten lines of dialouge so I made a yaoi scene between Shinya and Die and even added the pics of them. I passed that assignment. ^^

I laughed at that too but we were drinking at the time! Uruha looks older in Guren and younger in D*C.

that sucks, when i got into jrock i tried to get all my friends to listen to it too.

no my creative writing teacher just handed me my paper back and said, "yeah I had students like you last year but you did the ten lines of dialouge." xD i'm always well liked in my classes.

yes but I haven't drunk anything for a while. Last thing I had was 3 weeks ago, drinking a Mojito and eating pochy^^

@ Kyo - People here rather jamaican music or american mainstream so it's not really worth it . Saying that you prefer J music gets a lot of weird looks and questions here Like I said before I like that reaction.
I'm doing business studies against my will in school so i don't have an opportunity to use any bands .
