Ah you know... i love their style.. but i really want to see them sometimes without make up and stuff.. Just to know they are still human :D

Hmmm you're right.. That V-Kei style we fell in love to fades away.. every band seems to change to this Glam-Rock look .. It's still pretty, but not that individual any more.
But that style surely will change again.. remember Gazette or Naito or any other band, wearing this gay-leather-stuff (it looked like they've stolen it in a dark room loool :D). That was.. huh.. i'm glad this phase is over :D
 
maybe, but on the other hand..diru and for example Due le quartz..they looked amazing in the leather stuff
 
I have to say something about this topic:
Gazeguys ceartainly changed a lot for this 7 years.
Althouh there's less changes in their music then in apearence, at least i think like that.
But in both cases, we all now that this is not the end at all. They keep saying:" We still have a long way to go." and "We're changig all the time. We don't want us to be a band with one image. If people start to create one image of us, we change ourselves"
So, maybe we don't like them that much in this period, but they'll change and we may like them then. Anyway, I also hope that they'll be more VK again one day (soon, that is).

I don't really give a damn. To my ear, Mad Marble Hell Vision and Headache Man are not that different. I don't mean that they sound the same, I mean stylistically.

I have to agree that I don't get this whole old and new thing. As long as I get a kick out of the music, I like the band, be it western, japanese or siberian style, whatever.
Regarding Gazette - so far so good. My type of style. I didn't start listening to them because they were different. It was actually because I really liked Filth in the Beauty, lol.
That's my rant...sorry. :))
 
Hm this is a little of topic, sory..but people, don´t apologize for you oppinion. It is anoying to read all the sorrries! Why? we are grown up people, we have different oppinions. I think, none gets offended if someone else doesn´t like same things like he.
Al least me not. I just write what I think, so you can write what you think.

I'm with Zanux on this. I just don't get the sentiment.

And you know that wearing make-up and all that stuff isn't unique to japanese artist. Off the top of my head some of the earlier western artist to do it was david bowie wore kabuki makeup, twisted sister dressed in dray, boy george was well boy george, kiss well you've seen kiss and a whole lot of 70's and 80's bands, oh and lets not forget elton john. Most of these artist came out before the vk style even showed up in Japan so in a way you could say that the vk style originally came from the west anyway.

And for the most part all artist that have done that have all grown out of that phase of their lives, so I don't think GazettE's change in style has anything to do with them wanting be appealing to the west (that would make the sell outs) I think it just has to do with the fact that they get bored with stuff easily so they do other stuff.

Jeez, I'm ranting again :eek:

Anyway you know what I discovered? You can buy GazettE stuff off of Target's website and it looks cheaper than other websites IMO. AND it says free shipping if you spend over $50 AND it usually ships in 24 hours.

Mm, totally agree with Property Of Reita... Some of their styles or songs we love less, some more, but we'll always love them if we are true fans. 😍

Oh, already watched it yeseterday! Anw, Ruki's haircolor, face, voice are just LOVE!!!! 😍 But where are Uruha's pantIES?! :( I want them back, aldo, these green pants aren't bad at all. Reita is also very sexy while playing guitar. Btw, Kai (leader xD) is kawaii!!! 😍 But, he shuts Ruki down. -___-" I want Ruki talking! :P I mean, he' vocalist which means he should be the leader, not Kai - kawaii. -.-
 
hm..i like Uruha´s green pants..sure it is something different from what are we used to, but still..he himself said, green is his second most favourite colour (and he likes frogs :D)
ruki´s hair surprised me, but he looks good as well. Maybe a little less outstanding, but good. And it looks like he lost some weight (not that he needed to, but I think he is thinner, because he looks taller, and I doubt he has grown)

Uruha never wore panties. Those tings are called tight pants.. The kind of material used is really diffrent. And the lower part from his pants where wider, Panties are tight from bottum to ankle..

and sorry but you don't resprect their logical choice to make kai leader.. !
At first Why should the vocalist be the leader that makes nog sence at all.
Kai is inteligent and a born leader. He always tries to think for the whole band.
And someone neets to be shure ruki doesn't walk with his head in the air to much.

hm I think that Kai is great leader-sama..why not...there´s no such a rule that drummer can´t be leader of the band..I like it that way...cause It´s something different from other bands :haihai:
and ruki´s color..hmmm..I liked that blonde more:D
 
well in alice nine is Nao the leader to. And in Malice mizer the guitarists were.
There are reasons why they chose someone to be te leader.. And I never tought they made a wrong choise..
If you say Ruki has to be the leader cause he is the vocalist.. I think you disrespect the dissision of the band (including ruki) Just because you are a Ruki fangirl..
 
so far none said, Ruki MUST be a leader and not Kai...we just wondered, because Ruki was the leader..

tokyo girls just wrote, she thinks Ruki should be the leader, because she was used to it. And maybe she doesn´t know other leaders, that are non vocalists. But that is not a bad thing, just she doesn´t know.
I know Kai arranges the most things for the band, like RP and so one and we all like him...but Ruki was the leader not far ago, I was surprised as well, when it changed.
 
@ Tsukiko-chan: you´re right...I think that in europe or in america is commont that leader is usually vocalist..so I like how japanese bands choose their leaders according to their talents...that´s why I really like that kai is leader of the band cause he was a right choice ..like you said before he´s inteligent and born leader :-)
 
I'm BIG Ruki fangirl but I never said that he should be a leader. Acctually it's really cool that it's Kai. Cuz he looks so cute and it's kinda hard to imagine him giving orders to the others xD I like it in other bands too
