The Guren lyrics are beautiful x___X
I'd never thought of it as a mother losing her child oO Wow. Whenever I look at lyrics, I automatically interpret them as romantic - I don't know why o___o But yeah, that's what I thought of Guren, at first. I think looking at it as something totally different, like a miscarriage...it's how different people look at it, yes, but somehow a mother losing her child like that is so much more - I don't know, tragic.
"I don't want you to fade
Let me hear, even a sigh
A small heartbeat, that isn't there
I want you to come here."
"Hearing with blocked ears
The sound of a broken cradle..."
"The spring time will never come again
The crimson lotus is in bloom."

To have talent like Ruki's *dies*
Even if Ruki tells us what he had in mind while writing the song (goodness knows what goes on in there - Sugar Pain comes to mind XD) I think it'll still be open to interpretation - its not just what the lyricist feels but what it makes the recipient feel, too, I think. Though once you know the purpose of the song it kind of tends to manipulate what you think of it, I guess. I don't know XD
It's not just the lyrics - I was talking to my friend about this - it's his voice. There's something different to it in this song. Well, single. Kugutsue as well. Actually, comparing it with Cassis, or Chizuru, even, seeing as they're both ballad-style (well, not ballad explicitly, but you know what I mean) like Guren - the quality of his voice (thats the one XD) is just...different. There's something underlying in the Guren single and it's given his voice a sort of...shiver...does anyone else see it? Admittedly when my friend first told me, I was like, "Eh?" But I'm sure it's there, now. Look for it, if you havn't already noticed it :3
Also - I was reading a review on it a few weeks ago, when it first came out. It was saying how Guren doesn't live up to GazettE expectations, and maybe Ruki is trying too hard and sounds sort of uninspired. It also said it sounds similar to a song they've already done and it's somewhat repetitive...well I don't agree with any of it, what what do you guys think? oO
@HanaKagari @___@ Omg thanks for the scan - so awesome! Ruki looks...ravishing, for want of a better word XDD
[I got the translations from a website, s'not mine]
